The human body is home to billions of microorganisms. These bacteria include both beneficial and harmful types. Beneficial bacteria perform many critical tasks, such as aiding digestion, strengthening immune function, controlling the growth of bacteria and fungi, and maintaining proper acidity in the gastrointestinal tract to prevent cancer, among others.
